Huntwurx FAQs
Everything you wanted to know about Huntwurx, BlackOvis closeout deals, and so much more. We are not spelled Huntwerx or Huntworx, this is Huntwurx people. And no we don't road hunt. Sometimes we do but not all the time.
What is Huntwurx?
Huntwurx was started by a First Generation Bowhunter, Adam Buchanan, who is based in Utah. At first this website was for the podcast he hosts First Generation Bowhunter and then he was able to purchase the remaining inventory from BlackOvis and turned this into an ecommerce website in a matter of days to sell off this product for a killer deal.
Is Huntwurx legit?
Ah yes, we get this question a lot. We are legit. We ship the orders out of Utah and are hunters ourselves. Adam usually packs around gummy bears and with his poor knees generally has to hike with trekking poles. He mostly shoots two point bucks and does but a few seasons ago killed a pretty nice 3x4 buck on the Utah Extended archery hunt. He's an avid fan of BlackOvis and actually worked there for 3 years before they filed bankrupty and shut down. Hmmm, yeah that's about it. If you have more questions contact us. Otherwise not sure how else to prove we are legit other than sharing the playlist we grew up with which was Led Zepplin, U2, and Eve 6 followed by a hefty helping of watching the Simpsons and sneaking MTV at our friends house. Yeah, we're legit.
How is Huntwurx connect to BlackOvis and Camofire?
Technically we are not connected, at all. BlackOvis and Camofire are no longer in business. We have been asked if we can honor gift cards from BlackOvis and Camofire, we cannot. We are two separate companies. It's like if SITKA went out of business, ok and they sold their remaining product to a dude in Utah. Dude in Utah starts a website called Roadhunters Only and sells the SITKA gear. You can't goto Roadhunters Only and expect dude in Utah to honor the gift card he got from SITKA. Make sense? Think about Sierra Trading Post, they sell closeout product all day, I can't go there and say hey you're selling an Osprey backpack and I have a gift card to Osprey so can you honor it? No. So no, we are not connected. We bought the product. We built a website called Huntwurx, and we're selling that product on the website. I got a 14 on the ACT test and even I can understand this.
Can I still buy BlackOvis and Camofire Gear?
Yes, on Huntwurx. We are the only website with the widest selection of product. Spike Camp does have some solid product from BlackOvis as well and I hope them well. They are a legit website just like Huntwurx. BlackOvisShop is not a legit website and probably uses a crossbow to hunt.
Are there any Huntwurx discount codes or coupons?
Sign up for our email list and maybe we'll send you one if you're cool about it. Otherwise, we're selling this stuff for like 50-60% off! What we need to pay for your lunch too? We're trying to be fair. We're trying not to suck. We're trying to get your order shipped in time. So no, I'm not floating discount codes out there like some street gypsy.
Is Huntwurx selling authentic BlackOvis gear?
Yes, this is legit BlackOvis gear. Huntwurx was able to purchase this product after BlackOvis and Camofire went out of business. When you purchase the product hangtags and UPCs are attached to the product.
Can I exchange or return my product purchased on Huntwurx?
No. We do not accept returns and have tried to communicate the sizing and guidance for what size to purchase the best we can. Here's the deal, if you send us back product we may not be able to resell it. I'm not using revenue from Huntwurx to pay for sheep hunts, my daughter just got braces so a good portion of what I make on this deal literally goes straight to the orthodontist. So am I suppose to go back to him and be like, 'hey bro, we wanna return these braces.' No I'm not doing that. Please plan accordingly.
Can I still buy BlackOvis Merino and tripods?
Yes, and you are in the right place! Welcome to Huntwurx. We have a wide selection of BlackOvis gear. We also have a lot of sizes in BlackOvis apparel but it is limited, no restocks. Once it's gone, it's gone. Like the deer you missed last season...
